The 6-foot-7-inch man arrested Tuesday for stabbing a 7-11 outlet at the intersection of North Avenue and Burdett Avenue was charged with aggravated battery.
Authorities said the incident happened shortly after 2:30 a.m.
Tuesday near Burditt Avenue and North Avenue.
The suspect was described as white, in his 30s, about 40 to 50 years old, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds.
He had short brown hair and a tattoo of a bird on his arm.
Police said the suspect was armed with a knife.
